Lexington Chamber Orchestra's 3rd Concert in their Debut Season.
This weekend I am with my family visiting Lexington, Kentucky as I am graduating tonight with my Master's Degree in Arts Administration through the University of Kentucky. For the last two years I have been studying through an online program with the College of Fine Arts based out of Lexington. It has been a wonderful experience and the faculty is fantastic!
After watching the Kentucky Derby yesterday, we were able to attend a performance by the Lexington Chamber Orchestra at Tates Creek Presbyterian Church. It was absolutely wonderful and the timing was unprecedented for our trip. What a gem of an experience it was! We heard two premieres of orchestral pieces, a trumpet concerto, and Schubert's Symphony No. 5.
I wish the best of luck to this fabulous group of musicians as they embark on their journey as a new arts organization. And to all of you looking for your next vacation spot, Lexington is beautiful!
